04/16/2015 | Europa Press – Europa Press English

The new times are changing the way to do business. Changes in society, Information Technology companies and the economic crisis are altering the face of business men. We’re talking about electronic business.

This phenomenon known are “dropshipping” consists of creating an online shop that allows you to make purchases directly on the internet. If it´s because of the tax advantages or because it´s meeting a demand for this type of shopping that´s getting bigger and bigger, it´s popularity in our country is clear.

The business model consists of putting a certain type of products up for sale while being the middle point between the customer and wholesalers. By eliminating intermediaries, the price of the products become cheaper.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Dropshipping is carried out in the same way as traditional online businesses, but with the advantage that there are lower financial risks in comparison with other types of e-businesses.

Furthermore, you can sell on other online shops like eBay or similar platforms.

Another possibility this system offers is that is allows anyone who has a real shop but wants to sell online to do so for free. The legal ramifications are the same as those for the physical shop.

In terms of tax effects, you can use any type of legal status you like, for example, “incorporated”, “limited”, “self-employed” or a “co-operative”. You can have as many businesses as legal statuses you want, and you´d only pay your taxes like a “self-employed” worker.

DROPSHIPPING IN SPAIN

The number of entrepreneurs getting into this market continues to increase. In Spain there are already many shops set up in the IT and textile sector as well as household accessories.

The biggest innovators started off with the electronic cigarettes and esoteric products. However, there are those you are betting on the traditional products of our country, such as Iberian ham, wine or olive oil, all of them having their own regional certification.

Despite the fact that following through on this type of project requires a lot of effort and an exhaustive market study, any idea can be a good one for the online marketplace.
